Members and guests lined up and loading up with Jim Courtright

watching Hope take these pictures

Reaching for a serving pan, Virginia Sony of The Iron Horse Café

(formerly Wamplers on Rt. 23.) has provided excellent catering for the last two years.  Our heartfelt (and tummyfelt) thanks goes out to her and her crew.

There are angels among us...

You don't EVEN want to get in these two fellows way while they're eating...

(On left) Roger Southward (wife Patty next to him) and Max Marion (right).

It is good to see people enjoying the good food...

Members and guests are asked to bring a small gift for bingo winnings

We try to arrange it so everyone goes home with a gift.

Some of the museum displays are brought to share...

This is a display of Ashville's first phone directory

This makes me think of the smoking ban going on today...will it last?

Belva Lou Morrison has taken excellent care of getting things done

at our Christmas Parties and makes announcements and

offers thanks to those who helped.

Rose Jamison is on the Christmas Committee... She is always among the first

to arrive to decorate and set up at the Ashville Elementary Cafeteria

Michael Moore saying a few words and thanking members

and donors for their generosity and support

Bob Hines explaining our requirements of gaining membership to take

advantage of our benefactor's generosity.  The $100 per each new member

starting in the year 2005 will be used for museum expansion.

Rose Jamison (Ashville News) sent Michael Moore running for something.

Charlie and Mona Morrison shown sitting on the right.

And the winner of the Tupperware Set is Dick Cummins

Congratulations Dick!

The music was about to begin...

The instruments of musical entertainment

OK...Let's try this again....   :)

Gretchen Fortner said grace before we ate and also provided

music on the keyboard while David Rainey was trying to perform a miracle

in getting us all synchronized in our masterpiece called "The Twelve Days

of Christmas".  He divided us all up into groups, each with our own verses

to sing in the right order at the right time in the right key...it was a hoot.

David Rainey had us all singing along with his rendition of

"The Twelve Days Of Christmas".  Here he was trying to get us in

rhythm and tuning us up a bit... HA!

Before the written word history was told to each generation... and is today as well.

Bingo was played - almost everyone went home with a gift

It was a cold day outside at the Ashville Elementary this day...people bundled up
